A Memorial Service will be held Aug. 27, 2017 at 1:30pm from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St, Factoryville with Pastor Deborah A. Loessy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home an hour before Service time 12:30 to 1:30pm. He was laid to rest at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.

Craig William Carpenter, 67, a longtime resident of Hernando, Fla., passed away on March 8, 2017, at his home. The cause of death was determined to be cancer.

Craig was born in Pittston, Pa., on Aug. 17, 1949, to William and the late Sarah Jane Dendle Carpenter and resided in “Carpenter Hollow” Factoryville, Pa. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Factoryville. He attained his private pilot’s license and received a certificate for his first parachute jump. His hobbies included astronomy, entomology, woodworking and welding. Before retirement, he was a cross-country truck driver for LandStar.

He is survived by his father, William, of Factoryville; and his brother, Wayne, of Buckeye, Ariz.
