Alice R. Thurston of Dunedin, FL formerly of Tunkhannock, Pa. passed away on Jan. 12, 2017.  She was born May 31 1913 and at 103 she was the matriarch of the family.  Her husband William E. Thurston preceded her in death.

She is survived by children, Kay Hilwig and husband Ronald of Tucson Arizona and Billie Henkel and husband Frank of Dunedin Fl.  Her grandchildren are Becky Hunt and husband Eric, Cathy Johnson and husband John, Alice Ann Bonham and husband Robert, great grandchildren William, Matthew, Eric, Michelle, John, Gerald, Trevor, and great-great grandchildren Jeremy and Chatham.  She is survived by her sister Barbara Ellsworth.

Her brother Robert and William and sister Inez Lyne preceded her in death.  She has many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Eatonville Methodist Church for 25 years and will be sorely missed by her family and many devoted friends.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
