Green Ridge Care Center, Scranton. Born in Indianapolis, IN on January 17, 1948; the
daughter of the late Edward and Barbara Lassiter Bennett. Her husband the late John P.
Pintha died on December 13, 2022.
She was a 1966 graduate of Shanee Mission West High School in Kansas. She worked
at Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA for over a decade where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her son John “Jamie” Millard on Aug. 29th, 2000;
daughter, Jennifer A. Ronca on April 26, 2015.
Surviving are her two daughters Stephanie Earl (Joseph) of Nicholson and Heather
Pintha and her companion Steven of Clarks Summit; stepdaughter Leigh Ann Collins
(Fred) of Duryea, a son, Shawn Millard of Seattle WA; stepson Michael Pintha (Lisa) of
Kentucky; son-in-law Michael Ronca of Tunkhannock; sister-in-law, Annmarie Zongilla;
Fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cynthia was known for her witty and dry sense of humor. She was full of wisdom and
always gave the best advice. She loved coffee, reading, knitting, walks, her church, and
being with her family. The love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable.
The comfort and warmth she provided others was immense. Highly intelligent, her
family lovingly called her the “grammar police”. Her family will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Green Ridge Care Center for taking care
of Cindy during her stay of almost three years. They would also like to send their
sincerest gratitude to Compassionate Care for taking care of her during her brief
hospice stay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by
