On the morning of December 19, 2021, David A. Mills, 39, of Luzerne, PA, quietly passed from this life at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital following a brief illness. David was born on April 20, 1982, in Cobleskill, NY, the third child to join the family of Rev. Gary and Karen (Lukens) Mills.
David attended Emanuel Day School in Vineland, NJ from Kindergarten to 12th grade. After graduating high school, David attended Penn View Bible Institute. He was talented musically and enjoyed singing and playing the trumpet at his home church, the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Millville, as well as other churches, including the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Tunkhannock, PA. He had several different occupations, including his last and favorite one as a semi-truck driver for NFI. He loved children and served in various children and youth ministries in the churches he attended. He was loved by many young people. His greatest blessings in life were his own three children, whom he adored and lovingly cared for.
He is survived by his parents, three children; Harmony, Adelyn, and Elijah Mills, siblings; Yvonne (Stephen) DeLong of Indiana, Stephen (Kezia) Mills of Brazil, Timothy (Nicole) Mills of NJ, and 7 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: his maternal grandparents, James and Lucille Lukens; paternal grandparents, Perry and Irene Mills; and a niece, Joanna.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 1, 2022 at 10am at the Pilgrim Holiness Church 102 West St, Tunkhannock, PA with Pastor Joel Byer officiating. A viewing will be held from 9am until the time of the service.
