Donald Rogers, 73 of Lemon Twp. died Wednesday afternoon. He was born in Lemon Twp. on October 28th 1940 the son of the late Warren and Mildred Fisher Rogers. His wife Marie Ann Rogers died on April 27th 2003. Donald graduated from the Tunkhannock Area High School and was a Navy veteran. After he was in the military he went on to work at Proctor and Gamble and eventually retired. He belonged to the Green ridge and East Lemon Sportsman Clubs and he was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion. Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Jody and enjoyed planting, haying, and working his land. Don will be greatly missed by his by his beagle Lucy and he will be remembered by his big smile and even bigger heart by all the lives he had touched he was always there to lend a helping hand. Don is survived by his sister Fay Henry, brothers Douglas and Dwayne and wife Luann Rogers all of Factoryville, son Jody Roger and Fiancé Sandy Peoples of Factoryville, two daughters, Nicole Corker of NJ, and Breanne Peoples of Salt Lake City Utah, and Don was a devoted and caring uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11am on Saturday Oct. 25 at the Harding- Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Margie McCarty of the West Nicholson United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 9am until the time of the service on Saturday. Interment to follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Nicholson United Methodist Church P.O. Box 151, Nicholson, and PA 18446.
