Edward L. Fassett, 68, of Meshoppen passed away Nov. 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Ed was born in Meshoppen on Nov. 13, 1950 and he was the son of the late William and Ella Cole Fassett. He was married to the former Lynn Yerke for 34 years.
Ed was a musician and you could find him most nights playing with his band “Ed and the Outlaws” at one of the local bars or the American Legion. Ed’s band consisted of himself, Skip Goble, Roger Miller, and Timmy Shoemaker.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son Kevin Fassett, brothers William Fassett, Pearl Fassett, sisters; Martha Boice, and Evelyn Fassett.
In addition to his wife Ed is survived by his children; Eddie Fassett and wife Sharon of Susquehanna, Brian Fassett of Montrose, Bradly Fassett and wife Malindia of Laceyville, and Jayme Ward, Montrose, stepdaughter Christine LaMorte, Arkansas, stepson Gary Hanyon, Jr. of Factoryville, nephews; Lee Ross Dalton, and KV and wife Z, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 7pm from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Gary Myers of Biblical Baptist Church, Meshoppen officiating.
