Emilie B. Slocum

Blessing Service will be Wednesday at 4:30pm from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville with Father Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 pm. Interment will be at Nicholson Cemetery at the convenience of the family

Emilie B. Slocum, 78, of West Abington Twp. Went to be with her Savior on May 8, 2016. Her husband is George Slocum. They had been married for 34 years. Emilie moved to the Dalton area in 1964 with her first husband Kenneth LeClair, Ken was killed died in an auto accident in 1976

Born in Cooperstown N.Y. on Sept. 27, 1937 daughter of the late Edward and Emily Hull Lynch. Graduated from Mohawk high School and attended Albany School of Nursing.  She worked for Sears Catalog Dept. at the Viewmont Mall for 25 years.  She retired after 12 years in the Medical Records Dept. at Marworth treatment Center.

Emilie loved plants and being outdoors.  Enjoyed the time together with family at the pool and cooking for them. She was an avid reader always with a book in her hand.  She also enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader in Dalton.

Besides her husband Emilie is survived by two step-sons. Mark and wife Barb of Clarks Summit and Scott of Dalton and ex-daughter-in-law Judy.  Three grandchildren Joshua, Alyssa and Joel Slocum.  A brother Francis Lynch and wife Nancy and a sister Sharon Yeager and husband George.

Emilie was very proud to be a 26 year friend of Bill W.  A special Thank You to Dr. Lisa Robertson, Geisinger Mountain View Care Center and Traditional Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care.
