Harriet G. Walton, 88, lifelong resident of Factoryville, died Sunday June 25 at Abington Manor, South Abington, Twp.  Born in Factoryville on Oct. 1, 1934; she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Clara R. Dreischer Walton.

She graduated from Factoryville High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Marywood College. She worked as a nurse in New York City and Mercy Hospital, Scranton.  In her younger days she volunteered for the National Ski Patrol.  In her retirement years she volunteered at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Abington’s Catholic Church, Dalton.

Surviving are cousins Richard Carpenter and wife Carol, Branson, Missouri, Robert Carpenter and wife Nancy of Dalton, William Jones and wife Barbara of State College, Linda Webster and husband Bill of New Wilmington, Pa, Kay Stencel and husband Leo, Westminster, Colorado, Beth Clark and husband Rich, Mechanicsburg, Pa, Tom Millington and wife Ruth, Thousand Oaks, Calif, Paul Ketelhut and wife Linda, Thousand Oaks, Calif, Jean Weede, Hesperia, Calif.

Blessing Services with Father Arbogaste Satoun happened on Friday June 30, 2023, at Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. Factoryville. Interment at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
