Harry R. Barber, Sr. 68, of Nicholson passed away at the Scranton Regional Hospital Sept. 15, 2014. He was born in Rush Twp on Dec. 20, 1945 the son of the late John W. and Flora Winnie Barber. He married the former Renay Casselbury on March 28, 1961. Harry worked most of his life at Novitche’s Truck Repair as a diesel mechanic. Harry enjoyed fishing, camping, painting, drawing, and spending time with his family. Harry loved fishing for anything that would fit in a frying pan. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children John Barber and Harry Barber Jr. of Nicholson, Edward and Marry Barber of Lake Winola, Robert and Amy Barber of Nicholson, and Joyce Burns of Dushore, sister Martha and Edward Simpson of Watertown, NY, brother Roy Barber of Elmira, NY, a special grandson Dean Barber of Nicholson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4pm Sunday Sept. 21 at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. with Rev. Gary Myers of the Biblical Baptist Church of Meshoppen officiating. Friends may call from 3pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at 11am at the Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda on Monday Sept. 22.
