Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday January 5, 2019 at 10am from Nativity B.V.M. Church, 99 E. Tioga St Tunkhannock to be celebrated by Reverend Patrick Albert and Deacon Ray Pieretti. Friends are asked to go directly to church on Saturday. Interment will be following at Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Jane P. Wynd, 93, of Tunkhannock died Saturday morning 12/29/2018 at her home with her family at her side. Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 5, 1925; the daughter of the late John and Bridget Kleyps Wisniewski. Her husband of 45 years was the late William Wynd died on April 20, 1993.

Jane was a member of the church of Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock, graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School. Jane was known for her meticulous ways in her home, her flower gardens, her cooking and her love for her children, grands, and greats. Enjoyed polka music

and dancing. She was a great cook, always having that favorite dessert or special dish for any occasion. The family would like to thank Jane’s caregiver, Jaylisa Adams. Special thanks to Rita Fitzgerald and Aseracare Hospice staff, Tamara, Kristy, Michael, Caitlin and David.

 

Jane is preceded in death by six siblings: Lottie, Stella, Anthony, Edward, Chester and Dorothy. Two grandsons William Louis Wynd and Tracey Robert Price.

Jane is survived by four daughters Rebecca Forte (James), Linda Price (Richard), Lisa Burleson (Hal) all of Tunkhannock and Lori Rehm of Fombell. A son Robert Wynd (Connie) of Mehoopany. Fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
