Janet S. Barnes, 65, of Factoryville, died Sunday evening at her home. She was born in Scranton on March 13th, 1948 the daughter of the late Ralph and Jane Beardsley Burton. Her husband Joe of 26 years and daughter Michele Garey were her special friends and caregivers during her illness. She was a 1966 graduate of Falls-Overfield High School. She enjoyed gardening and taking long walks with her dog, Jake. Janet was a manager for Ray’s and later at Gerrity’s Shursave Market. Preceding her in death was a step brother Keith Burton. Surviving are two sons Dan Kenia of Tunkhannock and Derek Kenia of Scranton. Two daughters Michele Garey of Tunkhannock and Beth Ann Elvidge of Falls. Three brothers Ralph Burton of Fl., Dick Burton of Hallstead and Robert Burton of Dalton, sister Pat Drake of Factoryville, step-brother Lloyd Burton of Tunkhannock and a step sister Gail Burton of Mass.
