He was a 1964 graduate of Duryea High School and then graduated from Johnson College. He served our country in the U.S. Navy for twelve years. At one point, he was stationed in Greece, and always reminisced about the country’s beauty.

He was preceded in death by his stepson John “Jamie” Millard on Aug. 29th 2000; stepdaughter, Jennifer A. Ronca on April 26, 2015;

Surviving beside his wife are his three daughters Leigh Ann Collins (Fred) of Duryea, Stephanie Earl (Joseph) of Nicholson and Heather Pintha and her companion Steven of Clarks Summit; a son Michael Pintha (Lisa) of Kentucky, stepson, Shawn Millard of Seattle WA; son-in-law Michael Ronca of Tunkhannock; sister, Annmarie Zongilla; Fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

For anyone who knew John, his family was his pride and joy. Affectionately known as Pop-Pop or Johnny, he was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved to make everyone laugh. He was an avid history buff, a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and loved listening to all his old records. He enjoyed serving his church and community. All who knew him loved him. His family will miss him dearly.
