Joey...........you were one of the best people I've ever known.....you were my Father on Earth and a man I will always live through.......you taught me the beat of life, not just the beat of music. Considering your talent level, your humbleness taught me to be grateful for the little things in life......... I know your with me bro

Please accept my condolences to Joey’s family and his friends. When I last enjoyed Joe’s company it was at a men’s retreat this past summer. It was always a pleasure to be around him. He was such a kind and soft spoken individual but he had a purpose in this life. Most of the times I would encounter Joe he was in the company of his loving wife and their son. He was a family man first and foremost. That’s what I remember the most about him. After his family was his passion as a musician, a drummer and a member of the local music community. This is how I came to know Joe at a very young age and how I interacted with him mostly in life. He was meticulous in his selection of the tools for his trade and expressive when he was on the throne of his kit. He was as much fun to watch, a man so fully involved with making music as it was to hear him play . He never missed a beat. As a friendly and good hearted person he always had a positive attitude and only good things to say about his fellow musicians. Thank you Joe for setting the example of what it means to be a good citizen, family man and musician. Peace be with your family and friends as they struggle with your departure from this life. God Bless You All.

Joey will be missed. I am honored to have known him for many years, and I'm fortunate to have shared the stage with him at various times through the years. A great human being, and fantastic drummer. R.I.P.
