Joyce Hall

Joyce Ann Hall, 72, of Tunkhannock, died May 13 at the Golden Living Center. She was born July 22, 1941 in Nicholson, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Arnold A Sisco who did January 1, 1979 and the late Jerice T. Benjamin who died March 8, 2005. Attending Nicholson School she later earned her GED from Tunkhannock Area School in 1978. Joyce looked forward to and enjoyed attending the school reunions each year. Joyce worked as a waitress at the Blue Bird Diner in Factoryville; Nurse’s Aide at Clarks Summit State Hospital; seamstress at Smart Styles Dress Factory, Clarks Summit; Bocar Dress Factory in Tunkhannock. Retiring from Bocar she then worked as a receptionist secretary at State Farm Insurance in Tunkhannock for George Ostrowski and Jeff Rudell until her disability and kidney transplant. Joyce volunteered as a crisis counselor for the Victims Resource Center for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grand children. They were the sparkle in her eye and gave her strength through some difficult times. Heather gave her the gift of life in 2003 by donating a kidney to her grandmother which gave Joyce four great years off of dialysis. Survived by son, Brian W. Hall of Tunkhannock, granddaughter Heather VanDeMark, husband Joshua Wyalusing; grandson Benjamin W. Hall Tunkhannock and great grandsons Gavin and Jared. In 2006 she was honored and blessed to be reunited with her twin daughters Kristin Keiser, Kathryn Cutshaw, and a granddaughter Brianna Keiser. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a son Michael Allen Myers in 1968. She was a member of the Nicholson United Methodist Church The family would like to thank the staff at Divita Dialysis Tunkhannock for their excellent care and support throughout the years. A special thank you to her friends at the Susquehanna Apartments who have helped in more ways than they realize: Lavera, Bob and Dena Funeral services will take place at 1pm Thursday at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St Tunkhannock. with Pastor John Shaffer from the Nicholson United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 11am until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the Nicholson cemetery.
