Lillian Jackson, 74, of Tunkhannock passed away May 4, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry who she was married to for 53 years. She was born in Dickson City on July 7, 1939 the daughter of the late Willard Sr. and Blanch Hulse Cottrell. She enjoyed camping and taking trips with her family. Lillian was mom to all those who got to know her. In addition to her husband and parents Lillian was preceded in death by her daughter Erika Jackson and son Chester Gordon Jackson, brothers and sisters; Ethel May Cottrell, John Cottrell, Elizabeth Dalickas, Joseph Cottrell, Sarah Cottrell, and David Cottrell. She is survived by her children: Harry Jackson Jr. and his wife Billie, Leroy Jackson and his wife Alice of Tunkhannock, Andrew Jackson and his wife Temre’ of North Carolina, Lillian Jurista, Joseph Jackson, Rita Nichols and her husband Clint, and Ruth Schultz and her husband Michael, all of Tunkhannock, brother Willard Jr. and his wife Beverly of Pittston, a special nephew Thomas Bloom, many grandchildren; great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10am Friday May 9th from Nativity B.V.M Church, Tunkhannock, with Rev. Richard J. Polmounter officiating.
