Lon F. Deubler, 68, of Mehoopany passed away at his house Feb. 28, surrounded by his
family. Lon was born in Meshoppen on Mar. 21, 1948 and he was the son of Francis G.
and Helen Way Deubler. Lon was married to the former Susan M. Miner for 48 years.
Lon was a graduate of the Vestal High School and enlisted in the Army serving in the
Vietnam War.
He was retired from P&G and Triple Cities Mack. Lon enjoyed motorcycles, mini stock,
open champ cart, and nascar racing.
In addition to his father Lon is preceded in death by his brother Richard Lee Deubler.
In addition to his wife and mother Lon is survived by his son Charles and wife Jill Deubler,
and daughters Kathy Payton, and Patty Ann Mallory. Sisters Muriel and husband Ken Lewis,
Dee Anne and husband William Wilcox, Connie Hoppes-Keefer and husband Brian.
Grandchildren; Justin and wife Jessica Payton, Kristin Payton, Joseph Allen, Lukus
Keener, Alexander Payton, Kendra Payton, Kaylee Deubler, Leela Deubler.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Sat. March 4th from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home
123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Seth Macaluso from the Mehoopany Baptist
Church officiating. Friends may pay their respect from 7-9 Fri. Mar. 3rd. Interment will be
at the Vaughn Cemetery Mehoopany.
