A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of
Nicholson, 65 State St., Nicholson, PA at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday,
September 10, 2016 with Pastor Dr. Barbara Green officiating. Following
the service, interment will be held at Evergreen Woodlawn Cemetery, 33
Reynolds St., Factoryville, PA 18419.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church
of Nicholson, PA, Nicholson Heritage Society or a charity of your choice.

Lulu Elizabeth Kman, age 95, of Nicholson, Pennsylvania passed
away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Martin Nursing and Restorative Care
Center in Stuart, FL.
Lulu was born December 1, 1920, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of
Joseph V. and Ethel M. Spor. She was united in marriage to Stephen Kman
on December 21, 1939 in Tunkhannock, PA. He preceded her in death on
August 6, 1992.
Lulu attended Nicholson High School where she was lead chair
trumpet in the school orchestra. She was a longtime member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Nicholson. For 26 years in Nicholson, PA and 16
years in Royal, PA, Lulu and Steve operated Kman’s Trading Post.
After retiring, Lulu loved returning to the beautiful country setting of
the family farm – “Rocky Acres”; she enjoyed singing and playing the
piano, tending her flowers, watching the wildlife, and spending time with
family and friends. She was a mother of six children and devoted her entire
life to her family.
She is survived by four children: daughter, Celia Finn of Aventura,
FL; sons Stephen (Eleanor Marano) Kman of Port Crane, NY and Frank
(Linda) Kman of Rockledge, FL; daughter, Kim Sellers of Jefferson City,
MO; nine grandchildren: Chris Cole, Stuart, FL; Douglas (Jennifer) Kman,
Sarasota, FL; Bridgette (John) Isaac, Easton, PA; Stephen J. (Debra) Kman
II, Norwich, NY; James C. (Andrea) Sellers, Jefferson City, MO;
Capt Stephen T. (Nicole) Sellers, USAF, San Antonio, TX;
Chip (Francine) Gipson, Rockledge, FL; Wendy (Mitchell) Lipford,
Rockledge, FL; April (Shane) Reaves, Rockledge, FL; eighteen great
grandchildren: Stephen J. Kman III; Nicolina Kman; Nicholas Isaac;
Cynthia Kman; Peyton Kman; Alaina Sellers; Grayson Sellers; Jameson
Sellers; Melissa Gipson; Sydney Gipson; Ethan Gipson; Jeremy Lipford;
Ryan Lipford; Adam Lipford; Brian Lecklikner; Olivia Egloff; Jarrett
Egloff; Emily Strothers; two great great grandchildren: Hunter Gipson and
Skyler Gipson; one sister, Ethel (Roy) Dolph, Tunkhannock, PA; one sisterin-
law Audrey (Zigmund) Kman, Fairfield, CT; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lulu was preceded in death by
her son, Francis Kman of Nicholson, PA; daughter, Phyllis (Spadine) Cole
of Stuart, FL; two brothers: John (Mary) Geiger and Melvin (Martha) Geiger
of Nicholson, PA.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at Anthony P.
Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Factoryville, PA 18419 from
6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
