Margaret S. Layaou Goodwin, of Mehoopany, Pa. passed away November 19, 2015 at the Scranton Regional Hospital.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Margaret was born June 28, 1933, in Kingston, Pa. and lived her young life at the family farm on Coppermine Hill, Tunkhannock. She was the daughter of the late Francis B. and Jennie (Decker) Layaou. Margaret was married to Paul Goodwin for 54 years.  Margaret and Paul worked together on their Dairy Farm and drove school buses together for over 54 years.  Margaret was a member of the Forkston United Methodist Church, Forkston United Methodist Women and the Forkston Grange. She enjoyed cooking, housekeeping and gardening, and she really enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved her grandchildren dearly, and spent lots of time playing ball with them, sleigh riding with them, or just watching their events. In addition to helping her husband with the farm and buses, Margaret previously worked for the Commonwealth Telephone Company, and she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a graduate of the Hunter School, the class of 1951.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Ronald (Joe) Goodwin, brothers, Jack, Frank, Edward, James, Harry, and Clifford and her sisters, Adeline Hess, Isabelle Lauritsen, Nancy Russo, Annette Boice and Rosemary Harvey.
Surviving in addition to her husband Paul is her brother, Glenn C. Layaou, Tunkhannock, and his wife Carolyn of Tunkhannock.  Children: Daughter Bonnie Radwanski and husband David of Mehoopany, Michael “Mick” Goodwin of Tunkhannock.  5 Grandchildren Jonathan and Jaime Radwanski of Mehoopany, Michelle, Alexis, and Matthew Goodwin all of Tunkhannock, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10 am from the Harding Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Joshua Yorks  of the Forkston United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forkston Cemetery.
