January 26, 1931 - November 2, 2024 Service Date: Funeral Home Harding Litwin Funeral Home Marjorie “Marge” Kinney, 93, of Tunkhannock passed away November 2, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends at her son’s home in Evans Falls. She was born on January 26,1931, in Tunkhannock and she was the daughter of the late William and Amelia Allen Fitch. She was married for 46 years to James “Wimp” Kinney who passed away in 2007. Marge was a 1948 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and worked for over 4 decades in the local banking industry. Upon retirement from the bank, she continued working part time at ERA Brady Associates doing office work for over two decades. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Tunkhannock. Marge enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and games of any sorts. She sincerely looked forward to these weekly game nights. Marge and Wimp enjoyed their winter home in Lakeland, Florida and attending spring training games. However, come April she couldn’t wait to get back to home sweet home in Tunkhannock. Marge was an avid bowler throughout her younger years and looked forward to going out of town to tournaments with her team. Marge got most out of her life by helping others in anyway she could. Whether it be helping others balance a checkbook or just being by one’s side to offer words of advice, She was admired and beloved by all that knew her. Marge spent the last year in the Methodist Manor in Tunkhannock which soon became her second home. It was because of the wonderful staff that made it her home. The family gives gracious gratitude for all the love and kindness they shared with her. Also, a special thanks to Hospice of the Sacred heart. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Albert, Donald, Robert, and Paul Fitch and sisters Joann Fitch and Helen Montanye. Marge is survived by her son Donald and wife Frann of Evans Falls. Grandchildren Tessa Hettesheimer of Dallas, Pa, and Racquel and husband Chris Myers of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. The interment will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery.
