Melia D. Davis, 62, of Nicholson passed away at the Montrose Hospital on June 13, 2018.  She was born in Meshoppen on July 28, 1955, and she was the daughter of Willard Dyson and the former Phyllis Button.  She was married to her loving and devoted husband John J. Davis for 39 wonderful years. Melia had a Great love for the children she worked with and an even greater love for her grandchildren who were her everything.

Melia was a regional manager for Tupperware and also worked at the Elk Lake School in the preschool.

In addition to her father (Willard Dyson) Melia is preceded in death by a step father Frank Hoover and stepson Danny Davis.

In addition to her mother and husband Melia is survived by her children; Jarad and fiancé Sarah Jayne of West Auburn, Michael and wife Sarah Teachout, Minneapolis, Justin and wife Janica Davis of Ogden, Jason and wife Ashley of Nicholson, Doug Davis of Meshoppen, and Raymond Davis grandchildren; Jasmine Wood, Raylynn, Madison, Cora, Willa, and Hazel Dyson, Faith Osuna and husband Joe, Kilian Davis, Zachary and Owen Tennant, and Myra Scott.  Brothers Kevin Dyson of Nicholson and Lowell Dyson of Springville, sisters Trina Strickland Springville, and Larinda Kaufer, Swoyersville, and many niece and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held Monday at 11am from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with pastor Lynn Mokwa of the Bowman’s Creek Free Methodist church officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10am until the time of the service.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences or directions visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com
