Mike your presence is already missed at GCMC, especially on D7. You were so patient with our neediness and endless requests. You will always be remembered with kindness and as a gentleman. Rest easy.

Just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank Mr. Paone for all of his years of service to the Lackawanna Trail Football Program. When I was only 7 years old and getting my first taste of organized football playing for the Lackawanna Trail Lions C team (green jerseys back then!), Mr. Paone was one of the coaches along with Don Rapp. More recently he could be found holding the chains every home game at Tunnel Hill. Now that I have returned to become the head football coach, I just wanted to sincerely thank Mr. Paone on behalf of the entire Lackawanna Trail Football family for his years of service to our program. You will always be in our hearts. Our deepest sympathies go out to your whole family. Lion Pride is Forever

Mike was a true Christian gentleman, sportsman and tremendous role model for the youths he coached. He was always fair; leaving politics outside the playing field fence. Our society could use a lot more people like Mike these days & I’m sure the example he displayed improved the lives of numerous young citizens to pass on. May God bless his family and bring comfort during this difficult time.

Michael your smile, that wonderful smile as big as your heart, will always be remembered. You were as gentle as you were tall! Of all the memories I have the one that makes me proudest of being your cousin is your caring and committment to family and my dad...Uncle Pep...during his time at CMC. By your presence you exuded strength and love of God. Your children and grandchildren now have a special angel looking after them. Heartfelt love to Pegge, Jeff, John and families. Cousin Rosanne

Mike was taken too early. But I am hoping heaven is ready. He will start fixing things as soon as he arrives. That man did not know how to relax. He will be missed by many. If things are not going as planned it may be because God has better plans for you. A life that touches others goes on forever. RIP big brother. Love you
