Nile “Bertie” Shupp, 88, of Tunkhannock passed away on Oct. 21, 2022, at CMC Hospital. Bertie is the son of the late Josiah and Blanche Allshouse Shupp born in Falls on Nov. 27, 1933.
Bertie graduated high school and enlisted to serve his country as a U.S. Army paratrooper. He owned and raced on the local car racing circuit, he enjoyed hunting, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Fred Shupp.

He is survived by his children; Glenda Ankenbauer, Chris Shupp and wife Paula, Lynn Robinson, and husband Jared, all of Tunkhannock, brother Ace Shupp of Tunkhannock, sister Mary Eberlin, of Laceyville, grandchildren Dave and Jason Mooers, Brielle Ankenbauer, Michael and Sarah Parkhurst, and Ian and Josh Robinson, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday Oct. 25 at 1pm from the Osterhout Bible Church 467 Lane Hill Rd, Tunkhannock, PA. A viewing will be held from 12noon until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Osterhout Bible Church 204 SR 29N Tunkhannock, Pa. 18657.
