January 25, 1932 - August 6, 2024 Service Date: September 14, 2024 Funeral Home Harding Litwin Funeral Home Peggy G. MacCreary, 92, of Tunkhannock, Pa. passed away on August 6th at the Wesley Villages, Pittston. She was preceded in death by her husband David T. MacCreary in 2010. She was born Antes Fort, Pa. at the home of her grandmother Margeret Bessler Gramley. She was the daughter of Carson Daniel Gramley, Sr. and Maude Dean Heintzelman Gramley. Peggy was the office manager for their business of MacCreary Concrete Products. While living in Tunkhannock she was very active and faithful at the Eaton Baptist Church. She also was a member and Past Matron of the Tunkhannock Ch # 74 Order of the Easter Star and a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. After retirement and moving to Mehoopany, she joined the Mehoopany Baptist Church. In her later years while living in Florida she was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Homosassa, Fl. Upon her return to Pennsylvania, she attended the Kingsley Community Church. She loved gardening, canning, and her many flower beds. She also loved to sew, making her and her children’s clothing. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Mary Dean Minckler (Leonard); sisters Doris Lane (Stanley), Betty Weidner (Richard), Beatrice Clemow (Ron), brother Carson Gramley, Jr. (Judy). She is survived by her sisters; Janet Stine (Claude) of York, Pa., and Gloria Jean Edwards (Arthur) of Tunkhannock, sister-in-law Mary M. Lejcar (Bob) of Palmyra, daughters; Judy Michaels (John) Old Forge (formally of Harford), Jeri Wells and husband David of Elk Lake, grandchildren; Deana Baker (Ron), Diana McCarty (Bob), Debbie Severcool (Clint), Jeremy Michaels (Jennifer), Jacob Wells (Mickayla), Justin Wells (Kristi), 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
