Ronald Alan VanDeMark, 65, of Tunkhannock passed away at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital on May 4, 2021.  He was born in Meshoppen on Jan. 9, 1956 and he was the son of the late (Sam) Ronald and Isabelle Sheffler VanDeMark.

Ronald was a graduate of the Wyalusing High School and he was a truck driver.

He graduated from Wyalusing High School where he was the manager of the boys’ basketball team.

In his younger years, he dedicated his time to the family farm and business, “Sam VanDeMark’s Heavy Construction”.  Whether tractor trailer or motorcycle, he ran “THE BIG ROAD” as “The Pipe Wrench” while listening to the “Convoy” by CW McCall.  When he wasn’t on the road, he enjoyed woodworking, a vast array of mechanical work, fishing and loved the rodeo.

Ronald is survived by his children; Daralyn and husband William Carr, Laceyville, Matthew VanDeMark of Meshoppen, Eric Michael VanDeMark Old Forge, and Michelle Lee VanDeMark Old Forge.  Siblings; Judy and Ray Keeney of Stillwater, Sandra VanDeMark, Laceyville, Sharlene Wootten, Mehoopany, Joan VanDeMark, Clayton, NC, Sharon, and husband Pete Morgan Tunkhannock, and Robert and wife Kim VanDeMark of Laceyville, and his lifelong friend Nancy Place, of Tunkhannock, several nieces, nephews, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
