Services for Stanley H. North will be held Friday July 18,2014 at 12 noon at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Syracuse, NY. Stanley H. North, 84, of Benton Twp. died Tuesday evening 6/17/2014 at his home. Born in Plattsburgh, NY. On March 7th, 1930; the son of the late Stanley A. and Gladys W. North. He graduated from Syracuse University then he received his law degree from Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. After College he honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After his years of service he worked as a bond underwriter for U.S.F.&G and then worked for the Times Mirror Magazine in Dunmore. He loved spending time and camping with his best friends Marshall and Wesley. Stanley is preceded in death by his ex-wife Dorothy, son Brad, brother Jack, and a sister Ethelwynne Gibson. Surviving are two sons Wesley M. of Factoryville and son David A. of Tucson, AZ; two granddaughters Leah North of Odenton, MD, Kelly North of Waynesboro, PA, a grandson Matthew of Factoryville and a sister Betty Gonyo of Mesick, MI. Memorial Service will be Friday, June 27th at 3pm from the Grace Reformed Episcopal Church 104 Laurel Drive, Scranton, PA 18505 with The Rev. Paul S. Howden officiating.
