Wayne Story Robinson

Wayne Story Robinson, 86, of Tunkhannock passed away at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Dec. 14, 2018.  Wayne was born on the family farm in North Eaton on Jan. 21, 1932 and he was the son of the late Walter and Cleo Story Robinson. 

 

Wayne graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1950 then enlisted in the Army to serve his country.  He later married the former Betty Jean Henry to whom he was married to for 61 years.  Wayne and Betty ran the family farm for many years as they raised their children.  Wayne was a  member of Post 457 Dennis Strong American Legion, Lifelong member of Temple Lodge 248 Free and Accepted Masons, and Wayne enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

 

In addition to his parents Wayne is preceded in death by a son Stephen Robinson, a brother Jared Robinson, and a sister JoAnne Risolio.

 

In addition to his wife he is survived by his three sons; Joseph and wife Chrissy Robinson of Scranton, Miles Robinson of Dalton, and Jared and wife Lynn of Tunkhannock, seven grandchildren; Stacy Tomlinson and husband James of Philadelphia, Dustin and wife Heather Robinson of Falls, Tanya McEwen of Falls, Shannon Robinson, of Meshoppen, Ben Robinson of Lehman, Ian Robinson and Josh Robinson of Tunkhannock, great grandchildren Tatum Robinson, Layla Witham, Jace Branson.

 

A memorial service will be held on 12/19/18 following the viewing at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Lori Robinson officiating.  Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 PM until the time of the service.  For directions or online condolences visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Wayne’s name to Post 457 Dennis Strong American Legion or the American Heart Association.
