Wayne W. Clark,79, of Lake Sheridan died peacefully with his family by his side Monday January 20, 2025 at Geisinger C.M.C, Scranton. Born in Scranton on November 21, 1945; son of the late William J. and Audrey Ford Clark. He was married to the former Susan Davis.  They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in February.

Wayne graduated from West Scranton High School in 1963, He proudly enlisted and served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967.  Wayne made a 30 year career as a heavy equipment operator for local 542, he took tremendous pride in his work and was well respected in the construction industry.  In 1979 he and Susan started Clark’s Sharp-All in a modest shed in the back yard, in 1983 they built it bigger until selling in 2021. Clark’s Sharp-All was a staple in the community, although it was an outdoor sales and service business you could always count on a good visit, advice you asked for, or not, and you’d always find a few of the locals gathered, keeping up on the lake news. He was a self proclaimed lake historian, and one of the greatest storytellers around.

He was a lifetime member of the Fleetville Fire Company and the Benton Lions Club. A 50-year member of the Hyde Park F & A.M. Lodge 339, a life member of IUOE local 542 and a member of Marine Corp. League. Wayne prided himself in being the oldest living director of the Lake Sheridan Cottagers Association.

He loved his family deeply, spending time with his grandchildren was the highlight of his days. Visits at the shop, at the house and his favorite place of all time was at “The Marina”.

Lake Sheridan will never be the same.

Wayne was preceded in death by his infant sister Nancy, brother William and his nephew Chris Kenowski.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Bill (Patti) and his daughter Cindy (Jeff) Edwards all of Lake Sheridan. Sister, Dianne (Joe) Botscheller of Lake Winola. Sister-in-law Debbie Clark of Scranton. Eight grandchildren: Chris, Brianna, Jordan, Nathan, Miles, Matthew, Caleb and Logan. Several nieces and nephews.
