Frank Broadhead Hoover, 82, of Dallas passed away at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Sunday with his family by his side. He was born on May 5, 1935 and he was the son of the late Willard and Olive Haines Hoover. Frank was married to the former Phyllis Elaine Button and he was employed as a technician at Trane Air Conditioning.
Frank was a member of the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He and Phyllis together enjoyed dancing, traveling and were avid Penn State and NASCAR fans.
In addition to his parents Frank is preceded in death by brothers; Willard, Donald, Kenneth, Norman Hoover and sisters; Amanda Larabee and Lorraine Arthur.
In addition to his spouse he is survived by a twin sister Frances Benjamin of Moosic and a special niece Darlene Benjamin of Moosic, daughters; Kathy Hoover of Old Forge, Karen Hoover, Fl, step-children; Larinda Kaufer of Swoyersville, Melia Davis and husband John of Nicholson, Kevin Dyson of Nicholson, Trina Strickland of Springville, and Lowell Dyson Springville, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1pm from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Lynn Mokwa of the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church officiating.
