Berneta Beeman Dietrich, 99, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday July 28, 2018. Berneta was born on October 16, 1918 in Athens Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Glenn Beeman and Minnie Harned. She was married to the late George Dietrich.

Berneta graduated from Laceyville High School and, for several years, worked as a waitress at the Prince Hotel. She enjoyed helping her loving husband maintain their beautiful country home and loved being outside and close to nature. She loved gardening and was an expert at growing and canning fruit and vegetables. She also enjoyed reading, embroidery and collecting animal figurines. She had a sharp mind, a sincere concern for others and great sense of humor. After being blessed for having her with us for so many years, she will be very much missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her brothers Wayne, Bob and Ronald Beeman.

Berneta is survived by her brother, Skip Beeman, and her children: Sandra and late husband, Bill Jayne of Laceyville; Brenda and her husband, Mike Logozzo of Kennewick WA; Linda and her husband, Paul Hackett of St. Petersburg FL; Royce and his wife, Kathy Carter of Largo FL; as well as step children: Barbara and her husband, the late John Zeck of Tunkhannock; George Jr. and his wife, Joanne Williams of Albuquerque NM; Lavona and her husband, Bob Daniels of Tunkhannock; Laura Dietrich Kirk of Tunkhannock, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Wednesday August 1^,t 10 a.m. at the Harding Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W Tioga St Tunkhannock.
