A memorial service will be held Sat. Dec. 18th at 3pm from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, with Pastor Jean Blackie of the Factoryville United Methodist Church officiating.  A visitation will be held from 1pm until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Turning Point Alternative Living Solutions 431 Wyoming Ave, Scranton, PA 18503 or you can plant a tree representing the tree of life in Cory’s memory.

Cory Daniel Otto, 27, of Scranton passed away on Dec. 10, 2021.  He was born in Danville on Oct. 11, 1994 and he was the son of Christopher M. Otto and Bonny Jo Eveland.  Cory was a graduate of the Tunkhannock Area High School.

Cory worked various jobs throughout his life. He was most recently employed by Walmart in Taylor, PA.

He enjoyed snowboarding, soccer, billiards, tinkering in Grandpa’s garage, playing video games, and watching anime with his friends and family. He was kind, funny, and always put others before himself. Gone far too soon, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cory is survived by father Christopher Otto and fiancé Ronda Cole of Wyalusing, his mother Bonny Eveland and fiancé Jim Savakinas of Dallas, brother Michael Otto and fiancé Chelsea Berkowitz of Colorado, a stepsister Samantha Savakinas of Wilkes-Barre, paternal grandmother Carol Otto Factoryville, and maternal grandparents Ed and Norma Eveland of Orangeville.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Barry Otto, and an aunt Rebecca Musselman.
