Dale Leroy Shotwell, 76, of Tunkhannock passed away March 1, 2023 at the CMC Hospital in Scranton. He was born on June 20, 1946 in Kingston and he was the son of the late Murray and Marion Sickler Shotwell. Dale was married to the former Carol Lynn Otto for 53 years.
Dale was a graduate of the Tunkhannock High School in 1965 and he enlisted in the Navy. He served during the Vietnam War on the USS Constellation. He was an electrician at Procter and Gamble. Dale loved woodworking and he could build anything including the home he and his wife lived in. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, PSU and Buffalo Bills football games, and he volunteered many years with the local little league.
In addition to his parents Dale is preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Clesson, and Lorne Shotwell, and a grandson Joshua Kile.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Lisa and husband Glenn Brecht of Nicholson, Keith Watkins of Mehoopany, Michelle Shotwell and partner Edward Robinson of Tunkhannock, grandson Jerry Kile and wife Angie of Scott Twp., and granddaughters Aubree and Rosalie Budzinski of Mehoopany.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7pm from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, Pa with Pastor Lori Robinson officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-7pm at the funeral home. For online condolences or directions visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com
