Donald Anthony Mitchell, 81, of Lake Winola was called home to be with the Lord on Oct. 5, 2018 at the CMC Hospital Scranton.  He was born in Dupont on Nov. 29, 1936 and he was the son of the late Anthony and Genevieve Chivacci.  Donald was married to his devoted wife, the former Judith Ann Fritsch for 55 years.  Don honorably served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a Machinist at Precision National Corp. for over 20 years, and during retirement was employed by Jonah Frameworks. Don was a devout follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with a servant’s heart, who was a loving husband and father.  Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle and ATV, reading, studying scripture, yard work, home projects, and he was an avid sports fan. He lived life to the fullest, and will be greatly missed.  In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his brothers Joseph and wife Betty of Tunkhannock, Gary Mitchell of Florida, Children; Mark and wife Lisa of Gouldsboro, Michael and wife Patty of Clarks Summit, and Steven Mitchell of Factoryville, granddaughter Melissa and husband David Hall, Hawthorne, NY, and grandson Jacob Browning of Gouldsboro.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 noon from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home Monday from 10am until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery Lake Winola.  For online condolences or direction visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com
