Tioga St. Tunkhannock. JoHan F. Farrar, 87 of Union Dale formerly of Tunkhannock passed away peacefully, Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born February 3, 1936 in Philipsburg; the daughter of the late Wade and Bessie Zerby Fink. JoHan’s husband of 62 years, Henry A. Farrar died in 2021. JoHan graduated from Philipsburg High School and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was a Home Economics teacher at Emmaus and a Respiratory Technician and Human Resources manager at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock. She was an avid snow skier, golfer and was a member of numerous quilting groups, most recently Project Donating Joy at the Trucksville United Methodist Church and Pleasant Mount Quilter’s Guild. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and the outdoors. She could often be seen watching Penn State football and wrestling. Also preceded in death are her two brothers William and Lynn Fink and a grandchild DJ Farrar. Surviving are two sons, Scott and his wife Robin of Union Dale and Douglas and his wife Linda of North Wales; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
