Marigrace Benedict, 60, of Factoryville died Monday July 18, 2022 at her home. She was born in Scranton on March 28, 1962; the daughter of the late George Benedict, Margaret and Robert Liples.

She graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School in 1980. She most recently enjoyed work at Gin’s Tavern where she spent many years having an amazing time with everyone she encountered. Although Grace was often around town or sitting on the porch, she enjoyed many wild traveling adventures with her daughter Janessa.

Grace was the type of person who’s outgoing and friendly spirit made everyone feel welcome, often by giving them nicknames. She enjoyed baking delicious treats for all the family events, making people laugh, reading, and spending time with loved ones. She was known for giving the “Best Hugs.”

She is survived by her daughter, Janessa Benedict, Lancaster, her siblings Jeff Benedict of West Nicholson, Jean Clark of Tunkhannock, Dave Benedict of Nicholson, Robert Liples of Clarks Summit and Jay Posteraro of San Diego CA.

Marigrace was preceded in death beside her parents by her brother Kevin Benedict of Nicholson.

Blessing Service will be Sunday July 24, 2022 at Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville at 5pm with the Rev. Arbogaste Satoun officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 5pm.
