Mary Canavan

Mary Thomas Seamans Canavan, 82, of Factoryville died Tuesday at Geisinger C.M.C Hospital, Scranton. Born in Nicholson on Dec. 23rd 1932; the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Conrad Thomas.
Mary retired as a manager of Forest Lake Country Club in Hawley. Member of the V.F.W. post 7069 Ladies Auxiliary since 1974. She was a 7 year participant in a breast cancer study by Mercy Hospital Cancer Center. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family especially on Christmas Eve.
Mary is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Mae Thomas and Ruth Petrikovicz and a brother Paul.
Mary is survived by a daughter Norma Jean Seamans and a son Donald Seamans four granddaughters and four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Mary’s life will be private and at the convenience of the family arrangements are entrusted to Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., Factoryville
