A private funeral service with Military Honors will be held at Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA with Pastor John Shaffer officiating. Public Interment at Lynn Cemetery, Springville Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 12:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in early April – date, time, and place to be announced.

Paul Robert Wilson, 94, of Lemon Township passed away peacefully Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Springville Township on April 4, 1928, he is the son of the late Robert Saxon and Mary Ann Fisher Wilson. His wife of 73 and a half years is the former Lois June Jenner.

 

Paul was a dairy farmer for over 40 years, a collector and restorer of antique tractors, and one of the founding members of the Antique Tractor Association. He graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1946 where he played football and volleyball. He was a member of the Lynn-Lymanville United Methodist Church, the Lymanville Rod and Gun Club, and a former member of the Odd Fellows. A former US Army Lineman Veteran, he was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion 510. He was a supervisor (chairman) for Lemon Township for 15 years and Road Master for 14 years. He did construction with heavy equipment for many years.

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Ann (2010), a grandson Devin Reichart (2009), two infant great-grandsons Garrett and Gage (1999), by four sisters Roberta, Ruth, Betty, and Lois, and three brothers Saxon, Arthur, and Bruce.

 

Surviving are two daughters Gail Shields (Gary) of Springville and Linda Gramento (Sam Ring) of University Place, Washington. Also surviving are his three sons Donald of Meshoppen, Larry (MaryAnn) of Beaumont and Charles of Mehoopany, 11 Grandchildren (Alex, Amie, Andrea, Adam, Brittany, Scott, Keith, Michael, Douglas, Brian, and Tim), 23 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
