Scott C.Shafer, 46 , of Tunkhannock passed away on friday December 15 at Geisinger hospital in Danville during a liver transplant.. He was born on September 20,1977 at Tyler Memorial Hospital to the late Robert Shafer and Betty Shafer of Tunkhannock.

Scott graduated from Tunkhannock high school in 1996 then continued his studies at Johnson College where earned an associate degree in machine trades and welding. He was a tractor trailer driver for most of his career.

Scott had a kind heart and enjoyed spending time with his best buddy, his dog Roscoe. He inherited the love of Lionel trains and Philadelphia sports teams from his father. He also enjoyed offroading with his UTV or Jeep  with friends when he had the chance.

Scott is survived by his mother Betty of Tunkhannock, brother Bryan w/fiance Christine and niece Emily of Dalton, Aunts Joyce,Laurie and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Robert.

Scott’s family would like to thank the transplant team at Geisinger in Danville for their tremendous effort trying to heal and save Scott.

There will be no services at this time but a celebration of life gathering will occur in the spring.
