Thomas Patrick Jones, 75, of Mehoopany passed away suddenly at his home on Jan. 19, 2016.  Thomas was born May 28, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ and was the son of the late Harold and Noreen Moran Jones. He grew up in Keansburg, NJ, married and raised his family in Middletown, NJ before retiring to Mehoopany, PA.

Tommy attended Middletown High School, Middletown, NJ and he was employed as a technician at the General Motors Auto Assembly Plant in Linden, NJ for 26 years.

“Tommy Jones” loved going home to Jersey and spending time with his family. He loved to visit the boardwalk, the beach and enjoyed his days at Monmouth Park Racetrack. He enjoyed playing golf and horseshoes and he was a fierce competitor in darts! He was an amazing woodworker and if you could describe it, he could make it!

In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by brothers Harold Jones and John Jones.

Tommy is survived by his two brothers Frank Jones of Whiting, NJ and Billy Jones of Matawan, NJ; his five children Thomas and wife Heather Jones of Naples, FL, James and wife Theresa Jones Middletown, NJ., Susan and husband Scott Essig of Tinton Falls, NJ, and Donna and husband Jim Gerrity of Stillwater, NJ, and Darlene and husband Lenny Zappala of Middletown, NJ, and his 10 treasured grandchildren: Dylan, Morgan, Samantha, and Jessica Jones, Christopher and Kyle Essig, Lindsay and Kieran Gerrity, Cassi and Jake Zappala as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Tommy lived an amazing 75 years and touched the hearts of many. He always said that when it was his time, “just go out and have a drink in my honor and laugh about the good times!” So please, honor Tommy in that way!!
