Mass of Christian burial will be Monday March 13, 2023 at 10 am from Nativity BVM Church, 99 E. Tioga St, Tunkhannock with the Rev. Patrick L. Albert officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-6pm at Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. Please no flowers, perfume or cologne as family is allergic, contributions may be made to Nativity BVM Church. Interment will be at Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

William H. Cobb, 80, of Factoryville passed away Thursday March 9, 2023 at his home. His wife is the former Carol Petroski; they would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on May 29, 2023. Born in Scranton on March 24, 1942 the son of the late Seth and Estella Gritman Cobb.

Bill was educated in Scranton Schools and graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School, Nicholson. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving with A Company 3rd Battalion in Okinawa, Japan during the VietNam War. Before his retirement, he had a forty-year career as a truck driver, starting as a gravel hauler on construction and eventually going into freight. He spent 10 years with Fowler and William Freight Lines at their Scranton facility. Bill then spent the next 22 years with ABF Freight Systems, Wilkes-Barre. He was a proud Teamster member of both locals 229 in Scranton and 401 in Wilkes-Barre. A lifelong resident of Factoryville, he was a member of Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Carol are a daughter Tracey Ann Carpenter of Tunkhannock and her children Evan and Alyssa, a son Jody Christopher of Factoryville and his children Alyvia and Aaden. Brother, Leslie of Factoryville and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
